Take Control of Your Medical Information

World Medical Card

Up-to-date health information is of utmost importance for emergency physicians. Easily accessible patient information is crucial for accurate and speedy diagnosis and treatment. If language is a barrier or in case of a natural disaster, World Medical Card® can help you get treatment anywhere in the world fast.

Do you have your medical history on hand? Do you remember when you had your holiday vaccines and what medication you take for your allergies? Most of us don’t have the full details to hand. But they may be vital in an emergency at home or abroad. Is not having this information on you worth a risk? We wholeheartedly don’t think so.

Take Control of Your Medical Information

Most patients cannot provide the essential information needed to a medical professional whilst abroad, especially not in an emergency.

Emergency physicians, therefore, are more than happy to receive any documentation you may have on you. Any paper document with operations or diagnoses will need to be checked by medical professionals for their validity, and sometimes, the information may be outdated and only of limited value. Most recent changes in medication or a comparison with the latest ECG results might help explain current complaints and enable proper treatment.

One must rely on something more than memory or documents. If you want your medical history to help you, the best way to ensure that your health information is available wherever and whenever needed is to take over control yourself.

World Medical Card® will empower you to do so to ensure that the information you provide is easy to find, easy to access, structured and up to date.

How World Medical Card® Works

You can take the World Medical Card® anywhere you go, on the App on your phone, and the physical medical alert card in case of power or internet loss.

The App

It couldn’t be simpler to download the secure App.

Sign up and input your up-to-date medical information, including medicines and prescriptions, surgeries and implants, vaccines, allergies, donor status, X-rays or hospital records, photos of non-prescription medications, diagnoses and insurance details.

You will have your own personal profile, which can be accessed via the App or browser.

We encrypt all data to make it secure but make it easy for you to share with loved ones or medical personnel, with the addition of contact information and emergency buttons to relatives.

The App can translate your medical information into 135 languages if needed. In non-emergency situations, it can also help you locate doctors, hospitals, and pharmacies wherever you are.

You can share your profile with relatives, travel partners or others you trust so that they can provide you with a first line of support.

The Card

When you sign up, we will also send you your unique World Medical Card®, which will contain all your medical information sealed inside.

In an emergency where power or the internet is unavailable, a medical professional can obtain your medical alert card and access your medical history to ensure speedy and accurate treatment.

Your medical information is coded according to the World Health Organization’s global standards codes (ICD-11, ATC) to ensure that health professionals and pharmaceutical personnel worldwide understand your condition and requirements.

Your medical alert card has a unique password for emergency access to your profile to avoid misunderstandings about your health and achieve fast and correct medical treatment.

We recommend that you always keep The World Medical Card® on your person.

The World Medical Card® could save your life.
